General Responsibilities:

The Front Counter Staff is responsible for monitoring the desk area and serving as a guest ambassador for the main entrance. This includes controlling guest access to the lanes, handling bowling sales and equipment rental. The Front Desk Staff also enthusiastically greets patrons, answers the phone, addresses questions about the facility, takes messages, and attends to light housekeeping duties.

Operating Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Greeting guests as they enter the Center.

·         Provide exceptional customer service to each guest.  A smile and personalized greeting sets the correct tone and makes the guest’s visit more enjoyable.

·         Act as an information source for our guests, by answering questions about pricing, activities in the venue and overall facility questions. 

·         Follow all guidelines for the sale of bowling, shoe rental, events, lockers, and merchandise. Adhere to cash handling policies set forth by Management at all times.

·         Ensure that all areas in the public eye are clean and orderly at all times (bathrooms, concourse, and entrance)

·         Ensure that the front desk area is opened and closed properly.

·         Follow correct guidelines for shoe rental at all times. 

·         Be familiar with facility reservations and provide direction / access to groups.

·         Complete all paper work: (daily, lane usage, incidents, reservations and any other that may be needed)

·         Communicate with all departments on specific reservations & facility use.

·         Report and communicate with the MOD (Manager on Duty) on an ongoing basis.

·         Maintain ongoing communication with Sales Manager and event staff concerning inbound calls, future reservations and daily bookings.

·         Report maintenance issues (i.e. light out, cleanliness, hole in a wall, etc) to the Bowling Mechanic and Management immediately

·         Assist with any problems that occur throughout the venue. This may include emergency maintenance concerns, employee "no-show" coverage, participant conflicts, special events, etc.

·         Complete other duties as assigned such as folding brochures, posting schedules and promotional items, calling participants, etc.

·         Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings.

·         Be available for shift coverage if someone does not show or calls in sick.

Essential Physical Requirements

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, twist and climb. The employee is required to stand and walk for extensive periods of time without breaks during busy times. In addition, the employee will need to be able to use their hands/fingers to handle and feel and reach with hands and arms. Lifting and/or moving up to 50lbs with assistance are required.
