General Responsibilities

Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions including, but not limited to greeting guests, taking orders for food & beverage, clearing guests tables and cashing out tabs in a timely manner. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our guest needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Be attentive to section/floor, welcoming each guest in a timely manner.

·         Communicate with guests using appropriate tone and body language at all times. Make guests feel appreciated through your actions.

·         Take food and beverage orders and transport to customers; review orders before delivery to ensure accuracy; accept payment and makes correct change. 

·         Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, current promotions and daily specials. 

·         Checks back with customers to ensure that all expectations have been met or exceeded.  Promptly assists and responds to all customer questions or requests by immediately taking ownership of the inquiry and guiding to resolution. 

·         Be attentive & offer your assistance before the guest has to ask for it.

·         Bus tables in the restaurant, lanes and concourse area and returns dishes to kitchen.  Monitor and clean area for any liquid spills or trash on the floor.  Keep restaurant, concourse, storage area, bowler area, restrooms and parking lot neat, clean and free of trash.  Keeps restrooms fully stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. 

·         Anticipate your guest’s needs. Follow the half-full rule when offering another drink. Be alert of guest signals (raising a hand, looking directly at you, etc.), and acknowledge the guest so they know you will be right with them.

·         Follows all company safety and security operating standards; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management. 

·         Sets up, stocks and organizes work areas and ensures readiness prior to customers’ arrival.  Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.  Maintains the sanitation and organization of bar wares and supplies, bar, lounge, and service areas. Washes, rinses, and sanitizes bar wares and utensils.

·         Exercise responsible service of alcohol at all times. Should a guest reach the state you do not feel they should drive, we will supply a taxi. Do not hesitate to ask for management intervention if necessary.

·         Practice suggestive and up selling marketing techniques. 

·         Readily assists colleagues with miscellaneous duties to prevent delays in the customer service experience.

·         Interact with customers as they leave the facility, thanking them for their business and inviting them back.  

·         Must become certified in the CLAA specified alcohol service program within 30 days of employment

·         Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays, as well as, extended workdays to support business needs. 

·         Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings.

·         Be available for shift coverage if someone does not show or calls in sick.

 

Essential Physical Requirements

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, twist and climb. The employee is required to stand and walk for extensive periods of time without breaks during busy times. In addition, the employee will need to be able to use their hands/fingers to handle and feel and reach with hands and arms. Lifting and/or moving up to 25lbs with assistance are required.
